How to motivate students to own their learning

Anja Schoots, M.Ed., and Deemer van Werven, M.Ed., from Ichthus Lyceum in Driehuis, Netherlands, joined bulb to share their experiences of making the shift from a grade-oriented to a reflection-oriented campus.

In this 60-minute webinar Anja & Deemer addressed:

  • The reasons why Ichthus Lyceum’s Professional Learning Community (PLC) Team chose to incorporate digital portfolios into their reflection oriented program for the 2019-20 school year
  • How digital portfolios allow their educators to personalize curriculum and gauge student understanding to alter their teaching approach, supporting students where they are in the learning process
  • Why their students think more critically around the process, how they learn more over time, and are more aware of their capabilities and talents
